Every few months it is necessary in this society to lynch a Black man, notice that from OJ to Michael Vick and back and back and back to Michael Jackson, to , the Mayer of Detroit. Regardless of the circumstance or whether you believe he deserved it or not, there must be a lynching. It is psychological reward for those who rule us. Help Free Troy! while knowing the reason he is being put on exhibit at this time.]

Comments on the 'Bible' and misinterpretation or miseducation thereof. The buried story is there. Not any member of clergy over the years has ever revealed it to me. Do we know what is buried about us in the 'good book'

Htp Bro Dr Ahmses Maat:

I appreciate your having Baba Amefika as a guest on Libtv/radio 2day. Gratefully I am thankful for the answer given and I need him and u to know that 1) I am a female, 2) I agree with the fact that African centered schools are not wanted 3) however, we must still be able to resist commands to 'follow orders as told' and strategically implement Afrocentric education b/c it is essential for our youth,4) further, we need strategies to transition administrators and educators who come from universities and colleges thinking that they no longer have to study in order to teach African centered information in an Afrocentric manner.

I also agree that we must put folks on the spot if need be as we unapologetically claim who we are as Africans and what it is that we want and need for African children. We need more strategies for adressing the state afterall its our tax dollars that fund their control of our minds and the minds of our youth.

In reference 2 Baba Amefika's 10% theory, I wonder what the ecnomic stats will look like for the Education task force? I think it should be heavily funded moreso than any other component of the theory as the appropriate kind of education (Afrocentric) is what will continue and expand the theory otherwise it will dissolve w/o any practical application. I lok 4ward to working and sharing with the BBB group.
Asante Sana for doing Maat!

I'm highly interested in prticipating on the Education task force b/c my goal as a scholar and practitioner of Afrocentric education is to continue practicing and reading and writing about the need, significance and benefits of Afrocentric education for African youth in this country.

I believe that scholars should know the theroy as well as participate on vrying levels in bring the theory to practice, this way we can advance forward on what works and what doesn't in terms of educating our children.

Peace and blessings. The challenges of finding ways to empower our grassroots African communities economically in a global world is our number one priority. The world has changed and will continue to change at a very rapid rate. The push by Europeans to get more and more control over materials and resources will get more and more intense. Our Mother Africa will be a serious staging ground for this. What are we going to do?

I propose that we spend more time, energy and research on getting our people educated and involved in the world push for establishing and maintaining systems envoironmentally to live, work, eat and live. The Green world economy is growing and will become as major as the gas economy in 25 years.

We have to get with it. Move forward from civil rights movement to economic rights movement. We have some great young African leaders like Van Jones in Oakland and others working to get us focused on creating green jobs in the hood and elsewhere. This is just one approach.

Let us be about solutions more than about complaining.

STEPHANIE and ALL OTHERS in MAJOR CITIES ...

The Answer is Simple:

Provide enough employment to overcome the lore of the Streets.

If you create on average ... say 1,000 jobs per neighborhood at an annual pay-rate of $20,000 ... you'll have a monthly payroll of $1.7 million or $20 million annually ...

Goto Bankruptcy Court and LQQK for companies that have revenues of $20 - $40 million dollars ... Companies are sold in Bankruptcy Court based on the valuation of it's debt at a steep discount ...

Fire all of management and bring in college students as interns to manage the company ... Then you have your $20 million to pay your 1,000 youth for on the job training or whatever else you can think of ...

Stephanie, your concern is heartfelt, and I wish that I had answers for you. I struggle with the same questions, there is so much talk and little or no action. My concern is that we have so many educated Afrikan brothers and sisters with the know how, why aren't we pooling together to help our people? It never seems to amaze how we continue to fool ourselves into thinking that it is not a black/white issue but a rich/poor issue. I beg to differ, I will argue that it is both. Anyhow if you get any answers let me know.

Brother Sax, fleeing is not the answer to any problem facing the masses of our people. If that is your position, then you were right to leave as you cannot add anything to our struggle for self-deterimnation and justice in this town. I do not mean any disrespect, but I was taken aback by that response. Blacks are the majority population in that city and an even greater number reside in the outlying counties of Cook and Will. There is a strong,. Black economic base there, yet it is being thwarted...stymied...etc...and the working class and the non working class of people there have little access to resources, etc. The $500 a plate galas featuring beautiful Black people in expensive gowns and suits continue, yet the $3.99 a plate Black people die in the streets. There must be a solution, or some solutions, other than pack up and head for the hills. There is no safe hill for our people in America, unless we make it so...
