Bonjour tout le monde , jesuis Benji et je habite en Amsterdam. Je cherche des personnes qui habitent en France et peuvent donner moi de information sur le 10 mai, le jour de la fete de emancipation des esclaves . Je suis en un organisation enAmsterdam et nous fetons ca jour environ le 1er de juilliet. Je veux faire contact avec des organisations Francais pour faire des fetes ensemble et pour avoir plus de force pour faire des choses en Europe pour notre communites. Stay Blessed

I also agree that this discusion is a great idea! I would like to also learn more French? I am particularly interested in the franchophone stories for children such as Babar the Elephant with his colonial influence and how these stories may have shaped French childrens perceptions of Africa? Would love to hear any views on this! Peacex...

This is a great idea and I encourage others to join, especially those who speak and are learning French. My wife is learning French in order to translate African Francophone Classical writings, such as the Negritude writings of Leopold Senghor, Aime and Suzanne Cesaire and Leon Damas. These important writings have not, as yet, been translated into English. We, who don't read or understand French, remain deficient because of this. I challenge any of our French speaking students to begin the work of completing these translations,
