Namaste Akosua and to all the members! What a delight to join such a beautiful and spirited group of kindred. Clearly we understand that if you don't take care of your body, where are you going to live? Spread the message of love, and the example of spiritual, mental and physical health daily.

Greetings! If I have not contacted you directly to welcome you to the Optimal Health group, I wanted to take a moment to do that now. This group has grown from 1 to 26 members! I am happy to have had the opportunity to hear from some of you about your contributions towards Optimal Health in your community. greetings goddess and good sunrising to you and the village. i shall humbly share an experience with you at this time. queen afua so effectively states "elevation through purification" i am fully in concert with that energy for we are created and sustained with truth and positive energy don't we all agree? the photo on this site of me is one of recovery. i was in much better shape in early 07' than on this photo. i practiced yoga, jogged bycycled, and played golf on march 4th 07' i was in a near fatal accident -a rear end collision. i was with a band travelling through the midwest and the plains states. we were in a 12 seat van with a trailer hitched. the 16 wheeler that hit our van bore right into us fracturing my neck in three places. i was knocked out for a while and i felt judgement in my Ka'. i was in intensive care for three days and was on heavy medication. until this time in my life i had only traceable amounts medication in my body. i don't believe in it at all. i was in a conundrum. the pain medication was lyrica and oxycodine. two very powerful pharmaceuticals. upon returning to chicago, i went to dr.yao my accupuncturist the very next morning. walking weakly to the taxi i could hear my vertabrae cracking and making crunching sounds. undaunted i trusted my chinese master. i showed him the ex rays and he looked doleful, he told me that this was a very serious injury and one more vertabrae upwards (the 7th) and i would be dead or comatose. (give thanks). he gave me accupunture in my neck and arms and gave me some herbs for the pain. i visited him three times a week when i could afford it. until this point i had only a prescription and a common neck brace that was not even fitted for me from the medical society. i was nearly tempted to feel sorry for myself because i know that if i were in kemet i would have been treated with love and effectively. but i recalled who i am and remembered that our ancestors survived and recovered so could i! a friend of mine told me how astonished she was that i had th
e drive to recover and not to give down to my age and situation. afrikans, we are resilient!! resilient as the ant. when their mounds are seemingly destroyed by a youth, they immediately rebuild. when we become injured or diseased, we shall immediately rebuild just as the ant does. in fact when we are injured the rebuilding process unfolds immediately, we should usher that along with herbs and positive energy- not chemicals. the side affects of the two pharmaceuticals were life threating. it would jolt me unpredictably and grab my respiration system momentariy. both during my sleep and during conscienceness. the ancestors alerted me that it was time to ween myself from this toxic death mode. i chose to ween myself from the oxycodine first because they are a nice sized tablet while in contrast the lyrica is a small but dealy capsule. i waited for the onslaught of pain that earlier seized my body, but it never returned with the same intensity. now mind you this is 5 months later. my bones had healed but the nerves are a differnt issue. i went to my chinese chiropractor dr.sara chen who was too amazed at how i am recovering. i told her that i was eating mainly raw(yams, sweet potatoes, and turnip greens). at this point i was ready to receive an adustment! i was excited and a little apprehensive but again my ancestors invented manipulation of the spine; i trusted them. when the session was over i thanked her profusely for it had been so long that i could have a manipulation adjustment.
now i am in the year 2008 and i can play a little golf, a little keyboards, i can do some of my asauna routine. (give thanks and praise to the MOST HIGH).
now i am detoxing those pharmaceutical from my beautiful body given to me by the ancestors. i am doing a six day accelerated colon cleanse and next
week i shall do the liver and gall bladder cleanse. i must say that since i have started the detox my memory is easy as the flow of the nile! -and i am losing my gut!!!

Peace and Power....

Loving the fact that this forum exists. I am an advocate of eating LIVE foods, yet struggle from time to time with being 100% "raw"....so, I just stopped. Now I'm focusing on eating 80% live and the remainder .......... just healthy :)

I am releasing a book in the fall ...You are what you eat. So EAT LIKE YOU GIVE A DAMN. The website should be up in a couple of weeks. It is an excellent transitional book! I am planning seminars and home makeover deals as well. Peace.
