Living In Black

Bringing You 360 Degrees of the Black Experience

Poverty is the "rest" or "default" state of mind, that which happens when you don’t think or do anything for whatever reason.

Its a belief system that has been accepted as "the way it is ... is the way it will be". This state is widespread but can be reconditioned to change. Instead of asking “why am I poor”, instead ask “why am I not wealthy.” This works at a macroeconomic scale as well as a personal level.

If you want to experience poverty, just do nothing and it will come. To ask what causes poverty is like asking what causes cold in the universe; it is the absence of energy. Similarly poverty is the absence of wealth. For most of humanity’s existence on this planet, poverty has been the norm, the natural condition.

Poverty can be viewed as the opposite of wealth and just as light and darkness cannot occupy the same space at the same time; neither can wealth and poverty do so in our lives.

However, abundance, happiness and true wealth isn't just about mo' money. It's about experiencing balance and harmony in ALL areas of life ... physically, financially, relationally, emotionally AND spiritually.

Wealth and abundance - You hear those words a lot but have you ever really thought about what "True" wealth and abundance really is and more importantly how you might experience just that in every aspect of your life?

Do you even "believe" that balance, fulfillment and harmony in EVERY aspect of your life is possible for you? The answer to that question is clearly revealed by simply observing what's going on in the various areas of your life...physically, financially, relationally emotionally AND spiritually.

Although many profess to having a good life, that determination is all too often made based on "traditionally established" beliefs and perceptions taught to us and held by us, based on a very limited understanding as to what "the good life" really is and the limitless supply that is available to anyone willing to dig deeply enough to discover just how true it is.

Mr Green, that is indeed a very thought provoking statement. I see so much correlation in the victim and victor mentally after reading this that if this was put to all those who keep sticking their hands out for “freebies”, then they will recognise that their situation is self generated and not social disenfranchised.

Many successful people who travel to places labelled “third world” often say, “they are so poor, but at the same time so very happy”.

Your statement also suggest that one’s state of poverty is not always fiscal, a person can have millions of dollars, yet be void of affection rendering an emotional state of need/poverty, if they make no effort to address the void and so bring about a more balanced life assertion, am I on the right lines here?

How can your perspective on this subject be piloted into so called “deprived communities” and wealthy? Would be very interesting to see the reaction of those who feel that there circumstance is a product of social engineering.

Tell me more Bro.

Mr Biron Bi And Mr Green,
I can under why we are wrestling over how this happen and why ?
And so this is why we must address the economic pain of people with real solutions.

My question to the so-called black leadership & commentators are we totally out of reality and for some are just self individualist & greedy representative of their own self interest & perception
with no solution but empty words within the past 20 years name me a corporation you owned and created jobs or trained people for the market.

If you not and can only address social issues then your spectrum must be expanded
in direct our attention to industrial development which Dr Claude Anderson and many other including Min Farrakhan are working hard to do amidst the confusion of our people.

I have and is now in the process preparing for my the grand opening in 2009

With stock option for investors but before that happens we would have already undertaken beneath our belts
over 7years within the solar energy industry.

There are truths about some people being lazy but to blame the victim mentality when we are experiencing bank closures and the coming 5 to 7 dollar per gallon gasoline with even higher energy cost is not the solution that is going to put food, clothing, and shelter on the table of our people.

The middle class jobs are gone and they are rapidly joining ranks of poor we are talking about who are victim.

Before the end of the quarter some of you who have retirement is going to join this list of impoverished .

What is the point here we can complain about state of poverty or we can address the solutions
to the problem .

I have heard coming from many clicks about that quick get rich schemes and groupies type sessions are called it economic developments MLM marketing and the rest being offered as a solution to poverty while the real players at the top formulate corporations to promote the MLM .

I have a saying That when we see social conditions change we must learn to create new forms of economic positioning or new forms of economic leveraging.
The question is what is it that we have to leverage our people out of poverty?

Here is one of my solution to poverty.

Such rapid growth creates both excellent opportunities and significant challenges.

This presentation will address these issues and create a blueprint for successful entry in to the market. To enter the market quickly and successfully it is critical to understand the effects and importance of:

* Current Market Dynamics
* Expected Changes in Base Materials (silicon)
* Competing Cell Technologies - crystal material vs. thin films
* Critical Aspects of the Production Equipment

Roger Little, President and CEO of Spire Corporation will be the presenter for this webinar.

This one-hour webinar will include an interactive 15-minute Q&am
