An African Proverbs says:
Only when you have crossed the river,
can you say the crocodile has a lump on his snout. Well, I have
crossed a river of sorts and finally finished my first novel.
It is on the market and can be purchased.
It is a comical novel, titled "Yearning To Touch The Sky" (Trafford)
....about culture, home and identity.
I am sure that you, who live in the African Diaspora will find these themes important
and even those, who are not of african descent.
(´Who hasn't sought a home or an identity?)
I would like for you to read it and don't
hesitate to give me feedback.

Brother Omari

I love that song "Sweet in the Moanin"and Bobby McFerrin - he is awesome!!

I just want to add my voice to those who are very pleased to have you here on livinginblack and bringing your wonderful African genius to share with your Family here.

I volunteer at the children's hospital in detroit as a storyteller but if the youth dont want stories I try to find something to leave with them that they like. I find it is difficult to find positive print media like magazines for conscious young Africans 13-18 years old...male and female...any ideas? maybe you know some things an elder like me doesnt. I would appreciate any print and online recommendations that you can make.

One love rakiba
