In September/October Egbe Oduniyi Prducations will be holding its monthly music event called African Liberation Jazz suite sessions, its mainly a music event showcasing bands like Kevin Haynes Grupo Elegua with other guest Artists form Africa, who will be mainly performing more traditional styles of African forms or modern jazz influenced artists like Tony Kofi band, Shane Forbs Band, and other UK artists, As well as guest artists from Brazil Cuba, Trinidad, US & amp; UK based Jazz musicians, Painters, DJs spinning Jazz and African sound tracks in the intervals and end of the shows
There will be a small African liberation Jazz suite mini market place as part of the event, we will be hiring out stall or small spaces with tables chairs to Artists, musicians, book sellers, Arts and crafts people and anyone interested in having a stall on this event that is selling and promoting African products and business

For this reason I know about the great Artist Sistha, Akila. No one turned me on to her except my yarning for all Afrikans to unite, I even forgot where I first heard or heard about Akila. When I did hear her and the message, I caught on fire for her vision/music. Where ever our music is, is where I am since my youth; from Mongo Santamaria, Celia Cruz, John Coletrane, John Lee Hooker, Ella Fitzgerald and juju music to Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Ali Faka Toure, Sun Ra, Alpha Blondy, Cuban & French Hip Hop and the many many voices of our people "Here though I trod through this valley" as Peter Tosh would say "Jah guide, Jah guide, Jah guide I through this valley."
