Swahili: Greetings

Swahili people pay a lot of importance to the exchange of greetings. Politeness recommends that you dedicate some moments to greeting a person and enquiring about his/her health, his/her activities, and possibly about his/her close relations, especially if you didn't meet each other for quite a while. It is only after this good humoured though formal exchange that you will brooch into the heart of… Continue

What is Swahili?

Swahili is at the 7th rank of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with somewhere between 45 and 100 million people that use it as their first or second language. Swahili, which means "the coast", is at first the mother tongue of the peoples that live on the East coast of Africa, that stretches from the South of Somalia to the North of Mozambique, via the islands of Pate, Lamu, Pemba, Zanzibar and Mafia. From East to West, the area of influence of Swahili extends from Tanzania and Keny… Continue

Asante BrotherSax

I love this page - it brought back so much forgotten swahili you're a great teacher - your pacing and pronounciation so clear and easy to follow

I like the way you putgroups of related words together and explain when and when not to use them from a culture perspective

one love rakiba

ndeed and excellent process which to began in procurement of solar energy systems.

These are opportunities and I thank for your willingness to explore these avenues which these process can open new doors because when we
are obtaining solar or wind energy contracts then we are creating new jobs opportunities and expanding business growth which within the Black communities it is truly needed
thinking outside the box to address the social economic conditions of our people.

Greetings All, Bro Varnie reminds us what the goal set out for this group which I do agree should be our focus. To achieve any goal good planning has to be made, if we don't plan our discussions we could end up talking a whole good stuff without making any progress. I am a great believer in goal orientated tasks where members may offer solutions to reach a specific objective. This is team building, which is a point we have not achieved yet. Our first objective was to introduce ourselves to each other and identifying our skill set, which has been fairly successful ...even tough there are members who for whatever reason didn't do this. For those who have completed the first objective I feel it time to move to the next stage... team building.

Objective 2 'Team building '

Goal:

Research the profiles of All participant members in this group,
were we find out as much as possible using our LIB pages.

The task will be given in two days from this post ...30.05.08.

Be prepared......
