Peace, Rfuaw,
I am thinking I am using the wrong surname for sister Yemaya. However, the first name is correct and I hope you know her.

Greetings, Rfuaw,
Thank you for your quick response. I was wondering if you know Yemaya Napue in Sacramento. She is dancer also with a childrens' company. We shared the stage together many times. She taught me the true meaning of 'marching to the sound of a different drum."

Greetings, Sister,

I have not danced with my company sisters in years but the divine has seen fit to reunite some of us and we will be doing again. We were a Traditional West Afrikan Dance Company in Oakland. Our teacher doesn't know yet that we are planning a reunion. I will tell her tomorrow. Your page has pumped me up even more! Beautiful photos. All our children who danced and drummed with us are grown and now some of our grandbabies will be taught by our teacher.

Love and Gratitude, Rasheedah

Thanks so much for the beautiful picture. I am so glad to gain a friend, a fellow artist. I see dancing is in your blood too especially the upliftment of Africa. I commend you on keeping African dance and drumming alive. We are trying to do the same here in Mississippi. Much success to you.

Peace and blessings,
Saadiya

Greetings Mama-Sista,
I just wanted to send genuine positive vibes & love to you. I hope that your 'Dance Cultural Institution' is progressing well.

As you may know, our first Community Dance Class was last Thursday, and it went well. I started with the Grand Mother of Protection...Sorsornet, as our first rhythm/dance to study.

May your personal, family and community efforts continue to flourish.
