Peace, Rakiba,

I am thanking you for the space Mermaid. Pisces that I am and Yemaya being another of my inner energies, you know I love that image.Thank you, again and again.

My daughter told my that people have left mean hearted messages on my neice's online obituary page. I would never have thought anyone would do that. What is the point. Of course, there is no point. I give thanks that I know what I know and I walk with wisdom and faith. Lately I am again a prayerful sister. Over the weekend I was with an old friend and I was inspired to say a prayer for him. "There's something happening here." :)

I will have to call on everything know to maintain my cool this year at work. The student I assist has kicked me, hit me in the face, talked bad to me ( she always speaks really well when she's talking mess:) I am not feeling it like that this year. I know she has challenges but I am going to request that I be rotated among some of the other spec ed students... Grandbaby getting upset. Peace, rasheedah

Greetings Sistren rakiba I hope your weekend was relaxing and filled with light and peace. Thanks you for the picture - Power! I will pass on the message to our Sistren Teek :-) Things in Ingland are rough to say the least, children killing children - I have just to-day lost a young family member to a gun, we are in desparate need of some type of strategy to stem the loss of our precious young lives. Aside from that we are contending with trying to survive in a racist country but trying to keep our heads up.
We are also catching the Obama 'vibes' , as within our family in the US opinion is strongly divided here also!

Have a blessed week - Love and Light always. One!

Merry Meet, Rakiba,

We suffered a family loss over the Labor Day weekend. On Friday night, one of my children's cousins who was 7 months with child was gunned down in a hail of bullets in a drive-by shooting incident. Due to the trajectory of the bullet through her body the new spirit was injured and was only viable for 31 minutes after my neice(by marriage) succumbed to her wounds. I am absorbing the reality of this because I know I have to be there to guide my children through it. The young sister, Kennah Wilson, was only 18 years old and making plans to get out of that area which is only about 10 blocks from where I live.

The services will take place asap. Due to the Labor Day nothing could be attended to. This will be very difficult. I am saddened that this way of dying is all too common here in Oakland. Only weeks ago in the same building(Kennah and friends were kickin' it outside the apt. complex where she stayed with her mother) a woman died from a bullet that came through her bedroom and into her head as she slept.

I have to prepare my Self for this. Two years ago I danced at a funeral for a young man. I am empathic so the grief that permeated the atmosphere just went right into me. I nearly blacked out and wept for about 15 minutes. I did not know that child or his people. Now, this is someone in the same bloodline as my children, who I knew as a little girl and was hoping to know better as a young woman and mother. I trust she will R.I.P. as she did no harm.

Love and Gratitude, Rasheedah

Hey Mama Rakiba.
How are you? Remember Beauty can be found.

As the days go past
Remember, beauty is every where
In the sky
In the trees
All throughout the earthly colored leaves
Beauty can be found

Even when there are environments, situations, and complications etc.
That are filled with stress, confusion and depression
Causing the mind to feel uneasy
Straying forward
Just toward the Neg- A- Tiv-Ity
Remember, beauty can be found

Inhale and imagine the vast ocean
The sky blue colors
The Eagles which fly so high
And the wind which speaks every now and then

As you breath in
Breath in new life, new energy
As you breath out
Release the built up tension
And an-xi-ety

Beauty can be found
Just imagine living above the tress
Relax in your own way
And allow happiness to inflate thee

During those moments when everything is distraught
Your mind is moving to fast
Due to You/I/we/ us being multi-tasks
One could meditate in the grass
To find peace
Relaxation
And Comfort

Whenever you feel down
Just remember Beauty can be found

Have a peaceful, positive and progressive day.
